Terms & Conditions
All rights, obligations, specials, orders and agreements that fall under these General Terms and Conditions, and under this condition, are applicable under Dutch Law and Jurisdiction. In the case of translation or explanation of the contents of La Gentile’s website, the text in this website and these General Terms and Conditions will remain determinate.
General
These conditions apply to all sales and agreements between La Gentile and the consumer, whereby La Gentile will apply these conditions unless agreed otherwise in writing. If articles are ordered from La Gentile, the purchaser automatically accepts the stipulations set out in these General Terms and Conditions. Orders
Once an order has been placed,the consumer will directly receive an email to confirm the details of the order and the total costs associated with the order. All orders will be send within one working day after receipt of payment by the consumer. Orders placed before 2 p.m. will leave the same day. In the case of technical malfunction, however, which falls under the category of circumstances beyond La Gentile’s control, an order will be shipped as soon as possible.
La Gentile will keep the consumer duly informed of the status of the order. We strive to keep our website (www.la-gentile.com) as current as possible. However, the possibility remains that a certain product is no longer available, in which case we will contact the consumer as soon as possible. A product must be delivered to the consumer within 30 days of the order placement. If La Gentile fails to comply with this, the consumer may immediately break the order contract. This is not possible, however, if the parties involved have previously agreed to a different delivery term.
Prices and payment
All prices indicated on La Gentile’s website are in Euro’s and include value added tax. Consumers are able to make payments electronically to La Gentile in many different ways. The different payment methods are iDeal, Paypal and Klarna. Shipment of the order will take place once La Gentile has received payment for the order. La Gentile will add the shipping costs to the invoice of the order.
Delivery
The delivery time is indicative and is therefore not guaranteed. However, the final delivery time will not exceed more than one week of the indicated delivery time, excepting cases of ‘force majeure’. The order will be processed and shipped within one working day after receiving of payment. La Gentile cannot be held responsible if the post is unable to deliver the order to the consumer on time.
Delivery outside EU:
All packages shipped to countries outside of Europe are shipped insured.
For missing packages to countries outside the EU, we apply the points below:
- we are not responsible for missing packages to shipments outside the EU.
- Missing packages will only be refunded if reimbursed by insurance.
- while the investigation is ongoing, it is not possible to get a refund or receive a replacement product.
For damaged packages to countries outside the EU we apply the following points:
- we are not responsible for damages caused during the shipping process to shipments outside the EU.
- Damaged packages/items will only be refunded if reimbursed by the insurance company.
- It is not possible to get a refund or a replacement product during the investigation.
Delivery & Returns Furniture
Charlie Crane, Bermbach Handcrafted and Moonboon are being sold under drop-ship terms. Do you wish to cancel your order of any of these brands? Then you must inform us within 48 hours after placing your order. After that it is no longer possible to cancel your order.
All furniture sold under drop-ship conditions is ordered by La Gentile from the manufacturer within 48 hours of receiving your order. After which it may take another 1 to 2 weeks before your order is actually shipped.
Returns of any of these brands will not be accepted. Complaints will of course be dealt with, unless those complaints originated with the carrier.
Transfer of ownership
Ownership of merchandise will not be transferred until the associated obligations of purchaser have been fulfilled. At the point of transfer of ownership, which is at the point of delivery of the articles, product liability is transferred to the purchaser.
Money back Guarantee
If the consumer, for whatever reason, does not wish to retain the article, the consumer has the right to return the article to La Gentile within 14 (fourteen) working days after taking delivery of the article. The consumer must first inform La Gentile in writing via email of their intention and must follow all further return conditions and instructions stipulated by La Gentile. This guarantee does not comply if the article has been damaged, or if the consumer has attempted to amend or alter the article in any way.
Return articles will only be accepted if it is sent in the original, undamaged wrapping and the labels are still attached to the merchandise. Furthermore, the shipping costs of the returned merchandise will be entirely paid for by the consumer. Under no circumstances will La Gentile reimburse the shipping costs of returned merchandise.
If the return instructions have been followed accurately, La Gentile will reimburse the consumer for the returned article(s) within 14 days after receiving it. If a payment is completed by credit card, refunds will automatically be applied to the credit card used by the customer at the time of purchase.
Returns
If the consumer, for whatever reason, does not wish to retain the article, the consumer has the right to return the article to La Gentile within 30 (thirty) days after taking delivery of the article. This means that you have to cancel the order in written up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason. You have another 14 days after cancellation to return your product.
For items purchased with a promotion or on sale: you have 14 days from the date you received your order to return the product(s) to us. We guarantee a refund if the product(s) are returned in perfect condition and in their original packaging. Items purchased on sale with 50% off or more can only be returned for store credit excluding the €5 extra.
All returns must be send with the completed return form coming with your order.

Returns send without the return form will not be accepted and send back to the customer.
La Gentile ships all orders with a value above €50 euro free of charge within the Netherlands and Belgium with the exception of furniture. If the order amount drops below €50 euros due to partial returns, the usual shipping contribution (4.50) will be calculated and deducted from the return amount.
Queries/Complaints
In the case of queries or complaints concerning any of our products or procedures, please inform us by e-mail: hello@la-gentile.com. You will receive a reply within three working days.
Privacy
La Gentile finds it very important to ensure that all of the consumer’s personal information is treated with the upmost care and security. La Gentile will not give the consumer’s personal information to third parties, except when the information is required for the delivery of the order.
When making an order, La Gentile requires the consumer’s name, invoice and delivery addresses, and payment details so that an order can be processed. The payment details will only be used to conclude the payment process. Records of website visits are kept for statistical purposes. Information concerning the number of visitors and visitor frequency to our website will be used for internal research and website improvement. However, this general information is anonymous and cannot be traced back to the individual visitor.
Liability
All articles in the assortment of La Gentile have been produced with the greatest care. La Gentile cannot assume any liability for damages in any form whatsoever, either physical, material or immaterial, that can be caused by malfunctioning or ill use of the articles sold by La Gentile and/or materials or accessories becoming undone. The content of the website has been compiled with the greatest care. However, La Gentile cannot preclude the possibility of any error or incompletes in the information on this website. La Gentile cannot assume any liability for the consequences of incorrect or incomplete information on the website. La Gentile cannot be held responsible for any typing or misprinting errors that could communicate an incorrect selling price. In that case La Gentile will adjust the price as soon as possible. The actual colour of the products can differ from the colours shown on the computer screens. La Gentile cannot be held responsible for variations in colours as a consequence of the quality of the computer screens. Certain links on the website can give access to websites and information that is being exploited and maintained by third parties. La Gentile does not control these sites and it not responsible for the content of these sites.
Force Majeure
Despite any other established legal rights, La Gentile is entitled, at its own choice, in case of Force Majeur, to cancel your order, or cancel the purchase agreement without legal intervention, by informing the client in writing. Client is not entitled to any damages, unless given the circumstances this would be unacceptable according to measures of reason and fairness.

All information La Gentile website is protected by copyright. It is illegal to copy, use or distribute any information from La Gentile’s website without first acquiring written permission. Visitors and users of La Gentile’s website may not claim any rights pertaining to the information on the website. None of the text or graphics from La Gentile’s websites may be partially or wholly copied or publicly used for printing, photocopying, faxing, overtyping, in an electronic database, or for any other reproduction purposes.
Acceptance of General Conditions
